Belgian standard lamp collection lights up Paris Design Week

“Every object we create for valerie_objects is a continuation of the original spirit of our design practice,” says Fien Muller of Muller Van Severen. “Although the medium has changed, we maintain the spirit of our former practice: art, and such is the case with this new lamp. It resonates with the ideas of our hanging lamp and though sober and stylised, the lamp adds a romantic feeling to the room, reminding us of the light under a street lantern.”

The Belgian design couple, known for their playful minimalism, designed the lamps so that each entire lamp’s structure is completely visible, as if a child had drawn it. The collection celebrates a design style that has become synonymous with the brand, enforcing power and distinction in each piece.

Launched this month at Paris Design Week, the minimalist and sculpturally interesting lamps feature a marble base in a variation of colour ways and will be available to buy from January 2024.
